We are pleased to announce that the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) is now part of the NNAS Expedited Service Program. This allows us to deliver faster, more efficient assessments, ensuring that advisory reports are issued to CRNA, and all other participating regulatory bodies*, within just five days of receiving all necessary documents.
All current applicants have been notified of this update, and for. Both current and new applicants identifying CRNA in their application, will automatically transition to the Expedited Service—no further action is needed on your part. This streamlined process has reduced the number of documents required, significantly speeding up the credentialing process. As well, nursing education is now being assessed at a country-level resulting in better quality assessments while reducing the time associated with conducting individual assessments.
*With the inclusion of CRNA, more than 90 percent of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RPNs) regulators are now part of NNAS expedited service, for more information please visit: https://www.nnas.ca/expedited-service/
NNAS remains committed to supporting both Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) and our regulatory body partners. By simplifying and accelerating the credentialing process, we aim to support IENs in their journey to become licensed nurses in Canada, while also supporting regulatory bodies to fulfil their mission.
